Frequently Asked Questions for Tryouts

How do I pre-register for tryouts and what does it cost? Visit the Tryout Registration page and click the link to pre-register for tryouts. Tryout registration is free and confidential. You must pre-register to try out.

Do I have to attend all tryouts? Yes, the more the coaching staff gets a chance to evaluate a player’s ability, the more likely they are to accurately assess the player’s ability and assign them to the appropriate team.

Should parents attend tryouts? Parents may watch the tryout sessions from outside areas of the field and not near the players and coach’s area but do not have to be present. Parents should quietly observe and let the players play without any additional pressure.

How soon will I know if I make the team? The directors/coach will contact each player and/or family directly. Players who are accepted will receive an invitation to register through our PlayMetrics registration program.

What if I’m out of town and can’t attend the tryouts? You must contact the respective coach in this case. In order to be selected to a team, coaches must be able to see the player play or make other arrangements.

What should I bring? Come prepared to train with a soccer ball, cleats, shin guards, and water. All field players should wear a white shirt and dark shorts/socks to tryouts.

What if it rains? In the case of inclement weather, we will send an email with updated information, and you can check the website for alternate tryout dates.

I made the team, what’s next? You will receive an invitation via our PlayMetrics registration system with instructions on how to register online. You will be required to register and make a non-refundable deposit in order to secure your position on the team.
